> It's been a while... <

Gawd, apologies again for the long gap between updating this thing, guess I've just not really had the time, lots of travelling/DJing etc as per usual. I'll try to cast my mind back... Went to NYC to see Carol a few weeks ago - was my only weekend off from DJing so far this year! Unfortunately her mum got really ill and we had to go up to Long Island a couple of times and hang out in the Hospital a lot, while she was in ICU, but I guess it was lucky I was there to support Carol and keep her company on the train and stuff.

Then we went up to New Jersey on the Saturday to help with her sister's daughter's 3rd Birthday party, which was bizzarre, but hilarious and certainly a welcome complete change of scene from dark smokey rave-a-delic clubs (although I don't think I'll be changing jobs to Birthday puppeteer or whatever). The theme for the party was "The Pink Poodle Party" - and our task was to make poodle shaped grilled cheese sandwitches for the kids... Nuts... It basically meant Carol and I had to squish down bread slices with a rolling pin so that we coudl then use a pastry cutter in the shape of a poodle to cut it out, and then cut cheese slices the same way, then assemble it ready for grilling... I got really good at it... Anywayyyyyyyy.

Been jogging a fair bit in the midweek, and my new rollerblades are a bit easier than the older superduperextreme ones - but I am embarrasingly crap on them, so much so that I just get beeped and hoLLLLaRd at whenever I go out! Hah!

Had a busy week last week, did a wikkid gig in Graz, Austria on Wednesday, then Aylesbury on Thursday, then Lille in France on Friday - you watch the videos in the "Video" section at www.john-b.com - the Graz one is one of the best videos yet - me and MC Lowqui yodeling down the mountain, people stagediving at the gig, all sorts...

Trying to get some studio work done this week, I was up late working on one of the two remixes I'm doing of a new Howard Jones single, and its turning out rock-tastic! OH, and last week I did a few re-edits of older tracks to use for my sets, the best being a big mashup remix of DJ Assault's "Ass n Titties" and some 80s hair metal track - so look out for that in my DJ sets...

OK, time for me to go - I've uploaded a bunch of random photos from my cameraphone, I'll jsut stick em up here as a sort of johnbcameralifetimeline...

Only a few are from my camera, the rest are pinched from various local websites and people kind enough to send them over to me... If you were at any of the parties and want me to stick your pictures up here just email them to me! Here ya go!

> This week I will mostly be having a studio tan <

Not much to report really - just been staying in and working hard in the studio so far this week.

Updated a couple of my macs to Tiger 10.4.1 also, but not the studio one of course...

Robbie and Shaz have had their baby - congratulations! Will drop over to see them next week once they've had a chance to sleep - oh wait, that's not for a few years - Hah!

Finished my first remix of the new Howard Jones track yesterday "4 U C Me" and he loves it - and so do I, so that's fab. This one is really heavy electropunkdrumandbass - I'll be doing another one more acceptable to the masses and hopefully a mighty superdupersmasher...

Re-edited a couple electro/rocky tracks for my DnB sets too, but you'll have to wait to see me live to find out what they are...

Been for a jog a twice so far this week - got lots of new tracks on my ipod to keep me going - managed 2x 4milers this week - need to get back up to the 8 mile-as-routine though... Have stopped drinking wine for a bit too, just to lose a bit of weight - I put on 6 pounds during the 4 days Carol was here - but thankfully I've lost that, and a few more since - I guess all the leftover wine floating around in my sytem has a maJoR effect!!! Yoinks...

Dad is over at the moment working on my kitchen. The worktop is done, and 'routered' - I think its time for cutting the hole to put the hob and cooker in now - hopefully will be sorta done by tonight - i neeeeeeed a decent cooker so i can eat more healthily...

Have just been out to post more webstore orders, as I do a few times a week - and went to the orange store to talk about upgrading my phone - I'm due a free upgrade, but the phone I want (nokia 6680) keeps on getting delayed and I'm getting impatient... Don't worry, I'm not one of those phone g33k people, I jsut want to get one I'll be happy with. There's some other very similar one, a 6630 that's virtually the same, but I read some benchmark tests online yesterday that said the 6680 is actually slower and crapper - but the orange shop man says the 'new' version thatorange will have is actually faster, adn the battery lasts longer - so I guess I'll wait a while longer. Oooh. So interesting. Blah.

Listening to some Gary Numan right now - have had some hard personal stuff to deal with with my girlfriend this week too, but that's not for you to read about. Anywayyy. Time to get on with things... OH, and here's the flyer for my gig in Buffalo, NY on June 3rd:

> Budapest, Hungary on Saturday - Part 1 <

Wow! just got back from an amazing gig in Hungary this weekend. I played at the "Fresh ER" night on a big boat called A38 or something... Mental - was totally rammed, about 1000 people, and I enjoyed it so much I kept on playing until the morning - almost 4 hours I think! Hah! Here's all the pictures i could find - the first 10 are from my camera - the rest are from some Hungarian photo websites - partypictures.hu and www.pulzar.hu. Oh and there are some more at www.antropos.hu also... If you can understand Hungarian - there's a good forum there called www.drumandbass.hu... There's a long thread on there about the party but I can't understand any of it! hah...

So yeah, it was an ace party - the promoters were lovely (apart from in the morning I had to get a taxi to the airport because they were late!! hahaha) they found some really nice special Hungarian wines for me to try out before the show, oh and I did a funny radio interview before the show, and was trying to ask them if they knew who BONANZA BONSAI were - some band my Hungarian friend Balint from School (when i was 14) used to always talk about... :-)

The crowd were amazing (thank you!) and there were sooo many hot girls around, w0wzers! I managed to sign a boobie or 2, and a nice little bum too (a girls' one, before you ask) but alas no photos, only on the video - so you have to watch it till the end!!

When I got in the taxi on the way home I realised I was a bit drunken, and got a bit excited about all the architecture - or "architexture" i was slurrring - the video doensn't really do the dispair of the situation justice... I only had time to sleep for 2 hours before I had to get up for the airport, and somehow I overslept my alarm, but got showered and everything in record time - but not fast enough to get the special mega-quadruple-espresso i LIVE for at the airport,...

Anywayyy - the supermagical video is HERE so enjoy...

Anyway, here's the pictures, and thank you again to the fabulous promoters, and of course everyone that came out to the party! Hope I can come back soon!
